Deepening connections to transform the opioid epidemic.
We redesigned a website providing robust resources and education for a diverse audience, ranging from medical providers to community members seeking new solutions to the ongoing opioid crisis.
The Situation:
The mission of the Overdose Prevention Engagement Network (OPEN) is to change the trajectory of the opioid epidemic with new approaches and community education. The goal of our ongoing partnership is to strengthen OPEN’s connections to multiple audiences (healthcare professionals, community workers, parents and caregivers, and patients) via a revamped website, robust social campaigns, and other outreach.
Tactics and Strategies:
- Brand Review
- Quantitative Research
- Internal and External Interviews
- Website Design
- Website Development
- Analytics + SEO Strategy Implementation
- Media Planning and Execution
- Content Strategy Development
The Result:
A new and welcoming website that brings OPEN’s active initiatives and extensive available resources to the forefront. All audiences, from healthcare providers to parents and caregivers of pediatric patients, now have easy access to opioid education, prescribing guides, and other free materials. A campaign-oriented social presence and other media drive awareness of OPEN and their multi-pronged efforts.
Since its founding in 2016, OPEN has seen its impact reach far and wide, including a 76% reduction in prescription size (with no change in patient pain or satisfaction scores), over 23,000 pounds of unused prescription medications removed from communities, and a significant expansion of prescribing recommendations.
